Matthew 22:35-40 "One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him. 'Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?' Mark 12:32-34 "The scribe said to him, 'Truly, teacher, you have said well that he is one, and there is none other but he, and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.' My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth."
1 John 5:1-3 "Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God. Whoever loves the Father also loves the child who is born of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep his commandments. For this is loving God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous."
